I heard about this great method of making money online with e-books the other day by fellow internet marketer. It is not something that I have personally tried myself but I suspect that there are more people making their living online with this very method than most of us realise.
With my e-books I write the majority of them myself because I love writing them. Probably everything that you have read by me will have come from me spending a few days sat in front of my laptop churning out a product just for you.
However when it comes to some of my niche products I occasionally hire a ghost writers, researchers or freelancers to take on some of the workload and then finish it off myself.
For example I have a niche site in the gardening sector and even though I could have very easily written the product myself I passed the writing and researching on to someone else. In the mean time I was able to create the mailing list, set up the website and communicate with my future customers.
It cost me just short of $3,000 to get the research and the e-book written.
From a time point of view the finished article was completed in a month which is about the same as what it would have taken me. I used a fantastic writer that I have worked with several times before and the finished piece was amazing.
I spent about half a day polishing it up and putting my very own feel on it. It took me a couple of months of regular sales to cover the cost of the e-book and after that it had become pure profit and still brings me in a regular profit. It is pretty easy to follow this route as there are lots of quality writers available that love making you a great product.
The majority of the top internet marketers will have their products written for them. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this and the ideas will have come from the Guru themselves and they will always polish it off to create the end result.
It is big business and even though it is not widely known. If you are worried about creating your own product or don't have the time to give justice it is an amazing way of doing it.
You can often tell when a product is written by me, not just from the tone of the e-book but also because my spelling is always done via the British dictionary so for example favourite has a u in it compared to favorite in the states.
Now let's get back to method in question....
It costs anything from $800-$4000 to get a good quality e-book written with decent research.
You can have a high quality article written for anything between $20-$40 each for about 700 words that you would associate with being submitted to ezinearticles.com or goarticles.com.
On the other side of it an e-book would consist of 10,000-20,000 and would cover between 30-60 pages in length. An article on the other hand would be up to five pages long depending on the writer.
Now it is so much harder to write an e-book than it is to put together a great article. For example if you was focusing on the make money online with article writing there are that many aspects to take into consideration and e-book writing is rather expensive too.
So some article writers advertise their services as e-book writers. They then accept a commission from an internet marketer agree to do all the research and have the product back to them in a month's time.
They will then charge $1500 for delivering a quality 40 page e-book and receive an outline from the marketer about what they want included. This will include chapter headings so that they know what to work from.
The writer will now go and sit in front of their computer and plan the new job that they have been assigned to. But instead of following their research methods they will head over to the warriorforum.com or similar sites and will commission 10 articles to be written each four pages in length.
He uses the chapter headings that had been previously provided to him by the internet marketer to give each of his ten writers a title for their articles and gets them to write the articles for him.
Of course what he is really doing is being a bit sneaky and getting the article writers to create his different chapters of the e-book that he is supposed to me writing.
You have to see the figures to understand why so many people are doing it now:
*$1500 given to him to write a 40 page e-book
*$50 for each 4 page article that covers each chapter
*$500 for a full e-book written by article writers.
So as you can see for every e-book he gets an order from via internet marketers will make him a profit of $1000 after getting someone else to do it for him.
You really can't argue with a profit like this - can you?
He will then spend a couple of days tidying it up and make it look really presentable. He will also have to make sure that they flow from one article to another and check to see if they have the same writing style.
Just think it could take just a couple of hours to tidy up one of these e-books so imagine if you did ten a month the profit potential is amazing. After a few short months not only will he have a great selection of customers that will come back to him for more but a wonderful selection of writers that will gladly provide their services over and over again.
This is a brilliant version of outsourcing and there are certain elements of it that I don't agree with....
The client will assume that the ghost writer has put in several hours into this e-book and would not be happy paying such a large sum if he or she knew the truth.
Freelance e-book writers that do put in the effort would be devastated if they knew the truth and that their competition was simply making a fast buck.
However for those of you who are struggling to break into internet marketing this is a great way for you to have your very own product for $500 without having to find over $2,000 like many are forced to.
I do love this business and if you want to create your own e-book without having to write it or worry about writers block this is a great way to do it for a much lower cost.
